About my Art

What does art mean to you?

Art is both a sanctuary and a space for discovery. It allows me to step away from the noise of the outside world, reconnect with myself, and explore what lies beneath the surface.

Through my paintings, I hope to create that same sense of pause for the viewer — a moment to feel, connect, and perhaps discover something of their own.

What inspires your paintings?

I’m particularly drawn to animals and the presence, character, and quiet connection they can convey. They have always held a special place in my life and naturally find their way into my work.

I’m also deeply inspired by atmosphere — by light, colour, and those fleeting moments when a scene becomes more about a feeling than a place. Whether I’m painting an animal, a figure, or moving towards abstraction, I’m interested in capturing something that can be felt as much as seen.

What draws you to painting animals?

Since childhood, I have felt a deep connection with animals. I am fascinated by their presence, individuality and sensitivity and when I paint them, I’m interested in capturing more than their physical likeness — I want to convey something of their character, energy and spirit.

What mediums do you use?

I usually begin with acrylic and mixed media, building layers intuitively before finishing with oil. Depending on the work, I may also paint entirely in acrylic or oil.

I enjoy experimenting with materials and techniques, allowing the process itself to influence the direction of a painting. I also like to explore other media, including dry pastel and watercolour, and to experiment with new techniques whenever curiosity leads me there.

Do you focus on a specific style?

I move between abstraction and figuration, and often somewhere in between. Rather than working within a single defined style, I’m interested in exploring different ways of creating atmosphere, presence, and emotional connection.

Experimentation is an important part of my practice, but there is a common thread throughout my work: an intuitive process and an interest in what can be felt beyond what is simply seen.

Commissions

Do you accept commissions?

Yes. I accept a limited number of commissions and particularly enjoy creating works that hold personal meaning. Animal portraits are especially close to my heart, but I’m also open to other subjects that resonate with my artistic practice.

How does the process work?

We begin with a conversation about what you have in mind. We discuss the subject, size, colours, mood, and any reference images before agreeing on the direction of the painting.

Once we are aligned, I provide a quote and estimated timeline and keep you updated at key stages as the work develops.

How long does a commission take?

Depending on the size and complexity of the painting, commissions usually take approximately 3–8 weeks.

Can I request changes during the process?

Yes. I welcome feedback during the early stages, when adjustments can still be incorporated naturally.

As the painting develops, however, I need some creative freedom to allow the work to evolve. This balance between your vision and my own artistic process is what allows the finished piece to remain personal while still feeling authentically mine.

Originals, Prints & Shipping

Are your originals for sale?

Yes. Available original works can be purchased directly from me. Please contact me for availability, prices, or further information about a particular painting.

Where can I see your work in person?

A selection of my paintings is available to view and purchase at Liwan Gallery in Cairo. My work can also be seen at selected exhibitions and events, which I announce on my website and Instagram.

Do you offer prints?

Not at the moment. My current focus is on original works, although I may introduce a selection of fine art prints in the future.

How do you handle shipping?

Within Egypt and Switzerland, delivery or collection can usually be arranged depending on the location.

International shipping may also be possible upon request. As shipping requirements vary according to the artwork and destination — particularly when a work is leaving Egypt — I consider international shipments individually to determine the safest and most suitable option.
