Yasmine Perreten Bio

Born and raised in Switzerland, Yasmine grew up in a family where art was celebrated, with some members achieving renown as artists. As a child, painting and drawing were occasional pastimes that gave no hint of the transformative role art would one day play in her life. During a particularly challenging period, Yasmine discovered the painting by feelingsmethod — a deeply intuitive approach that values feeling and presence over technical precision. This opened a new path for self-expression, becoming both a source of healing and a powerful means of self-discovery. The experience was so profound that she began teaching the method, sharing its transformative and empowering potential with others.

Yasmine’s life has been defined by her courage to embrace new beginnings and explore the unknown. After relocating to Egypt, the land of her ancestors, she continued to paint and teach. When life’s challenges led to a period of burnout, art became her steadfast anchor — a way to reconnect with herself, rediscover joy, and rekindle her creative spirit.

Today, Yasmine lives with her husband on their picturesque farm in Egypt, surrounded by Arabian horses and lush palm trees. Art has become central to her life — a sanctuary where she explores ideas, stories, and transformation. For Yasmine, art is more than a practice; it is a way of life — a continual discovery of beauty in both the external world and the inner self. Through her paintings, she seeks to inspire others to uncover their own paths to joy, peace, and connection.

Celebrating diversity in both her art and her life, Yasmine brings curiosity and openness to every creation, embracing experimentation as a driving force. She finds joy in exploring a wide range of mediums, techniques, and styles, weaving them seamlessly into her artistic journey. Animals — a cherished part of her life — are a recurring and meaningful theme in her work, embodying grace, strength, and a profound connection to nature.

Each piece Yasmine creates is more than an artwork; it is a reflection of her personal journey and an invitation for others to explore their own. For her, art is not just a craft but an adventure — an ever-evolving pursuit of beauty, meaning, and the endless possibilities that life has to offer.

Artist Statement

Art, to me, is more than a visual expression—it is a sanctuary, a space where I pause, reconnect, and allow what wants to emerge to take form.

My process weaves intuition with thoughtful exploration, creating a dialogue between inner and outer worlds. Through color, movement, and form, I seek to capture the quiet energy that resides within moments of transformation.

I thrive on exploring diverse approaches—transitioning between abstract and figurative work or blending the two. I enjoy experimenting with different styles and techniques rather than being defined by one, allowing each painting to evolve in its own way. One of my favorite subjects is painting animals, where I aim to infuse each piece with its own presence and vitality.

While deeply personal, my work is not limited to my own journey—it is an invitation for others to embark on theirs. Each brushstroke offers a doorway to self-discovery, a moment of wonder, and a space where memory, imagination, and feeling converge.
